However, tragedy struck when COVID-19 occurred and had impacted greatly towards the progress of the global supply chain and thus, the improvements have been stagnant. One of the few cases would be that Indonesia is said to have a decrease in manufacturing production accounted for USD 50 billion due to the disruptions or production from China. This bachelor dissertation aims to assess the global supply chain of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, mainly focusing on the food and beverage sector, under corporates that have already established a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in these past few years. The study will examine the early expansion of the global supply chain before the COVID-19 pandemic and see how companies have adapted their activities and measures towards the unprecedented situation. The dissertation will also examine the implications of these issues on supply chains towards Indonesian firms, majorly focusing in the FMCG sector. One research framework that would be accounted into the study would be the Spearman Rank Correlation to see how the firm’s supply chain do have a correlation when CSR incentives are included. Further literature studies will also be acknowledged for further analysis into research. text
