Description
Summary:In flight operations, the aircraft records and records its flight conditions on the Flight Data Recorder in the Black Box. The recording is carried out directly in flight. And this recording consists of various flight parameters that can provided by the aircraft instrumentation system. In this work, a case of failure in aircraft braking system is analyzed. The failure occurred in a significantly less number of flight cycles than what is stated in the manual. To find the cause of the problem, the flight history of the aircraft is retrieved from the FDR and analyzed. The FDR provides data on aircraft speed during landing, aircraft mass during landing, hydraulic loading conditions during landing, and so on. After all the parameters connected to the aircraft landing case are obtained, then they are taken and processed on the Ms. Excel. The author uses the Taguchi method and Pearson correlation to find out which parameter is more sensitive among the other selected parameters. The author will find out the condition of which parameters are the most sensitive and affect the failure of the braking system on aircraft. In addition, the results obtained can also provide information about the relationship between these parameters and the failure process being reviewed. The results of the final analysis of the Taguchi method and the correlation of Persons give different sensitive parameter results, this is because the Taguchi method and Pearson correlation have different sensitivity processing steps. Interpretation of the results can also provide some predictions of the best maintenance and flight variance for the aircraft from the FDR data.
