Summary:Resort Situ Gunung National Park Managementis one of the resorts located in the work area of PTN Region IV Situ Gunung, PTN Region II Sukabumi Division - Central Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP). In addition to its role as a protection area for life support systems, particularly hydrological and climate protection that has been recognized and benefited by the wider community, it is also managed for natural tourism activities. However, in the implementation of the area, Resort Situ Gunung in fact, in the field, there are still social conflicts and a lack of community participation in the management of the Resort Situ Gunung. Therefore, this research needs to be carried out to determine the extent to which community perceptions and participation in the development of Resort Situ Gununghave been, then a strategy to increase community participation can be formulated, and also to make a strategic priority scale that must be carried out by the manager for the development of Resort Situ Gunung. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, distribution of questionnaires to the surrounding community, and literature study. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale to analyze community perceptions, qualitative analysis, interviews and direct observation to analyze community participation and strategy analysis using SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) to determine the right strategy in tourism management, and AHP (Analytical). Hierarchy Process) to determine the priority scale that needs to be done in the development of Resort Situ Gunung as a natural tourism area. The results showed that the community's perception of the Resort Situ Gunungwas that the community assessed the well Resort Situ Gunung because it had a positive impact, namely it could provide benefits in both ecological, social and economic aspects and had an average score of 6.25. Community participation in the development of Resort is Situ Gunungonly in the form of energy and expertise (tour guide). Based on the results of community perceptions and participation, the community is in the lowest level of participation, so that an SO (strategy is neededStrength and Opportunities), which is to make optimal use of existing opportunities and strengths. Results of priority scale 1) Increasing tourism activities as opportunities for the community to earn income, 2) Involving the community in implementing the tourism programs and packages Resort Situ Gunung, 3) Conducting training related to the development of natural tourism to the community intensively 4) Involving the community in making development plans Resort Situ Gunung as a natural tourism area.
