STUDY OF LAKE WATER ARRANGEMENT (CASE STUDY AT SITU SALABENDA, KEMANG, LENGKONG BARANG, LEBAKWANGI IN BOGOR REGENCY)

ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Situ (small lake) is a surface water reservoir which formed naturally and functioning as water infiltration area. Bogor Regency has aproximately 122 of small lake that spread over in various locations and mostly of situ have happened the degradation of wide and function. For example is the chain of lakes of Cidepit-Cijati-Angke-Cisadane which has concerning condition situ. The willingness for knowing the causal factor of this happening condition and maintaining the wide and function of situ has urged for studying several situ in Bogor regency. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The aim of this study is for determining the exact water allocation system of lake for the agenda of water conservation. And the purpose which will be expected later is the guarantee of the existence of water in lake and for maintaining the sustainable of situ function. Base on the result of monthly operation simulation that has done at four of situ could be seen that at Salabenda lake and Kemang lake have happened overflow, while at Lengkong Barang lake and Lebak Wangi lake have happened insuffiency of water. But from the result of direct survey in field, the present condition indicates that has happened silting up in Kemang lake, even has happened illegal occupancy of the land (become a place for palawija planting). For solving the problem above, needs an arranging of water which matches with water conservation principles. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The arrangement that has been done for all situ is not allowed utilizing to irrigate rice field however only enabled for public clean of water necessity. Raising the elevation of spillway at Salabenda Lake is effort for using of the overflow. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Arranging upper aperture at Kali Angke is done in order to the flow that step into Kemang lake doesnt bring bed load from Kali Angke for preventing shallow of lake. Flowing of overflow of Kemang Lake to Lengkong Barang is done for adding volume of the lake. And flowing of overflow of Lengkong Barang Lake to Lebak Wangi is done besides to add volume of the lake, also to avoid the happening of illegal occupancy of land by public.
