THE STUDY OF INCREASING/OPTIMALIZATION TO LEGARE IRRIGATION AREA, NABIRE REGENCY-PAPUA PROVINCE

ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The construction of 1 (one) irrigation area was hoped as trying to produce the food plants like paddy and nutsly plant. Cropp pattern of technique irrigation area that hoped with cropp intencity is 3 (three) times of intencity of crop with good irrigation system. So it can suply foods for farmers and his family who cropped it, and for the others people around of that irrigation area. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Legare Irrrigation Area that is locating on Nabire Regency, Papua Province since it was constructed by government and had been operated on year of 1999, was hoped too to produce food plants for people of Nabire Regency and surrounded area. But with its cropp intencity is less than 2 (two) times cant realize the hopping of the construction. With that problem is less water so the farmers cant do the full cropping. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> For that need the solution to optimalize of the using of the irrigation water to Legare Irrigation Area, that its resource is Musairo River. With the debbits (Q) of water that is existing and is intaked from the river, then it has being flowed to all of irrigation areas. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The study in our thesis is to learn the water existing into the intake building on Musairo River, is enough or not for the water needing is used for the cropping on 1 (one) year. Then it try to give the optimalization of using of irrigation water if the the existing water isnt enough.
