EVALUATION OF INTERACTION BEHAVIOR AND EXPERIMENT NORMALIZATION OF AXIAL COMPRESSION-BENDING IN REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN WITH CARBON FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER (CFRP) AS ADDITIONAL TENSILE REINFORCEMENT WITH QUASI STATIC EARTHQUAKE LOAD TESTING

Summary: | Reinforcement using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) is often done because it provides an increase in capacity, without a significant increase in load due to the significant weight of FRP. Reinforcement of FRP in columns is generally carried out using restraints. This study discusses the reinforcement of the column and foundation joints by providing carbon-FRP as the additional tensile reinforcement for the column. The test objects in this study were concrete that was given FRP and anchored, and the test objects were given FRP and restrained. The test object is a column measuring 300×300 mm and footing. The study conducted in this research is on the behavior of the curvature moment due to monotonic and cyclic loading. This research show addition of tensile reinforcement results in an increase in the moment capacity of up to 16% of the column capacity. In the anchored FRP sample, there is an increase in the area of the curvature moment area by 10%. In the restrained FRP sample, there is an increase in the area of the curvature moment by 14%. |
