One of the personal protective equipment (PPE) that is currently required to be used while on activity is face mask. The purpose of wearing face mask is to reduce the spread of Covid-19. With the increasing rate of the spread of Covid-19, the use of face mask will also increase. As one of the districts in the city of Bandung, Sukasari district also applies face mask in their daily activities. After using the face mask, it will be generated into face mask waste. In determining the generation of face mask waste in Sukasari district, direct measurements were being used in the field by using the standard method from SNI-19-3964-1994. As the measurements result of face mask waste, it is known that the average amount of face mask waste in Sukasari district is 1 gram/person/day, with the amount of using disposable masks at 38%. With the generation and the high dangers of face mask waste on the environment and health, a proposed for the management of face mask waste has been prepared which includes sorting mask into separate container from the source, special collection for face mask waste, special transportation for face mask waste, processing using an autoclave equipped with shredder and final equipment is provided by a third party. text
