Summary: | Indonesia is a country located at the confluence of four tectonic plates of the world. This condition makes Indonesia one of the countries that are prone to earthquakes, especially in major cities that can cause social and economic impacts. With the Lembang Fault, the surrounding urban areas, especially Bandung City, has a considerable chance to experience an earthquake due to the movement of the fault. The lack of knowledge and awareness of the surrounding residents regarding the existence of Lembang Fault can increase the losses incurred. The main purpose of this study is to determine the estimated potential value of asset losses affected in 2020 due to the earthquake around Lembang Fault. The methodology used in this research is to estimate the total land value as well as the total building value from the minimum samples of land parcels that have been calculated previously, where the land parcel samples are expected to represent the actual situation in the field. The results of this study show the estimated potential value of asset losses affected in 2020 due to the earthquake in 14 villages research area based on sample data of land parcels amounted to 21 trillion. The conclusion is that the majority of land parcels in the area have a very high risk of being affected by the earthquake due to the Lembang Fault based on the earthquake risk map used in this study, even the minimum level is at a medium risk. |
