This is based on the fact that the REE pattern can be used as a tracer of rock-water interactions to determine the geochemical processes that occur. In addition, REE was also developed to meet the needs in the industry for high-tech objects. This study aims to identify the accumulation of concentration and mobilization patterns of dissolved REE in the Bandung Basin area. A total of 29 primary water samples which were divided into categories of crater water, hot springs, cold springs, river water, and well water were taken directly in the study area. Laboratory testing of the samples was carried out using the Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and Ion Chromatography (IC) tests. The results of the laboratory analysis show the order of REE abundance from the highest to the lowest in the study site, namely Ce > Y > Nd > La > Pr > Gd > Sm > Dy > Er > Yb > Eu > Ho > Sc > Tm > Tb > Lu, the distribution LREE dominates over HREE, and based on the spider diagram plot, it is obtained that the Eu anomaly is positive with Eu/Eu* values ranging from 1,48 – 3,49. It was found that there was an accumulation of REE concentrations in the Patuha Geothermal area that was indicated as the characteristics of sulfuric acid changes and the Cipanas Hot Spring, Saguling that was indicated as the characteristics of changes due to alkaline fluids. The presence of REE was controlled by the acidity of pH, the presence of Fe metal, Al metal, sulfate anion, and chloride anion, which was showed by a strong correlation. River water transportation causes REE mobility along the Citarum River. Allegedly the presence of clay minerals in the study site from the Kosambi Formation, caused the adsorption of REE so that the concentration of dissolved REE was low. text |
