Description
Summary:Microsoft Teams Desktop is a conversation-based collaboration platform and can be used to share information through the same space that is integrated with various Office 365 services and is the platform officially used by ITB to support lecture activities. Through research on ITB students, it turns out that 60.68% of students stated that they had difficulties when using the Microsoft Teams Desktop application. There are five features that many complain about, namely video calling and screen sharing, teams and channels, document and file collaboration, notifications, and integration with Microsoft services. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of these five features. The approach taken is in the form of performance measurement which measures the effectiveness and efficiency of users when working on a series of scenarios as well as video cued retrospective think aloud to find out user responses verbally when video recordings of tasks performed by users are replayed. Another approach is to use a QUIS questionnaire to determine user satisfaction with the system. Based on the evaluation results, it is known that the effectiveness of Microsoft Teams Desktop for several task points related to the video call and screen sharing feature groups, document and file collaboration feature groups, and notification feature groups is still not effective considering its effectiveness is below 70. Based on the QUIS average score of 5.44, participants are considered not quite satisfied and tend to be dissatisfied with the system as a whole. Through the RTA, 19 proposed improvements were designed to improve the usability of Microsoft Teams Desktop.
