ANALISIS DERET WAKTU CITRA SAR (SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR) DALAM PEMANTAUAN DEFORMASI DI GUNUNG ANAK KRAKATAU
Measurements of deformation are one of the most important means for studying magmatic processes and monitoring active volcanoes. Indeed, deformation along with seismic monitoring is one of the principal means of assessing the potential for future eruptive activity. The reason for this is straightfor...

Indeed, deformation along with seismic monitoring is one of the principal means of assessing the potential for future eruptive activity. The reason for this is straightforward. As magma migrates toward the earth’s surface, it forces aside the surrounding crust. This inevitably causes deformation that can be detected by a variety of modern techniques. Because the shallow crust is brittle, the deformation usually results in earthquakes that are also easily detected. Therefore, this study aims to observe the deformation that occurs on Anak Krakatau Volcano in the period 2018 to 2020. In observing the deformation, there are several ways, one of which is by using SAR data. From the two SAR data, an interferogram is produced, the interferogram explains the phase difference of the two SAR data used. Each interferogram is arranged sequentially so that the displacement to time is obtained. The results showed that there was deformation on Anak Krakatau Volcano before and after the eruption on December 22, 2018, with an average rate of maximum inflation and deflation, respectively 8.3 cm/year and 44.57 cm/year, and after the eruption of 8.675 cm/year and 36.2 cm/year. text |
