Summary: | Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has very promising underwater tourism
potential. This situation encourages the diving industry in Indonesia to continue to
develop along with technological advances. One of the important assets in this
development is spatial data management. The problem in the Indonesian diving
industry that is still often found today is that spatial data has not been appropriately
managed so that visitors find it difficult to find information related to diving sites and
the surrounding facilities. This study aims to design a platform of WebGIS to manage
and present various information related to the diving industry with the Kepulauan
Seribu as the study area. Various spatial data such as diving sites and locations of
public facilities will be integrated to provide various information for the visitors. In
addition, bathymetry maps extracted from GEBCO data and base maps from Open
Street Map (OSM) are also displayed. These spatial data are processed with the help
of the QGIS2WEB feature in the QGIS software, and the result can be processed
further so that the map can be embedded in a WebGIS. WebGIS interface design is
also carried out so that the general description of the WebGIS appearance can be
understood. The results of this study are expected to be beneficial for various parties
involved in the Kepulauan Seribu diving industry, such as the government of
Kepulauan Seribu, diving business operators, and visitors. |
