Although it can produce kinins on its own, it has been observed that Plasmodium falciparum is resistant to kinins. Therefore, artemisinin is used as a second line therapy. The problem continues when the production of artemisinin from the Artemisia annua plant only gets about 0.01-0.5% of the dry biomass. So it takes metabolic engineering to increase artemisinin. A study was conducted on the journal of metabolic engineering research on yeast and also its application in producing artemisinin. A search »??ü???? ??»???®????? ?®??­?®?±­ ?ð?í ?í± ÿ±????­ “±?ð±??» $± ??±? ­??ð® ?????ãð?±±?ð?ã” and obtained primary literature on a list of journals in metabolic engineering. After that, a search was conducted on related journals through the Scopus, PubMed, and ElSevier websites. As for the application to increase artemisinin, a search was carried out with the keyword "Artemisinin yeast engineering" and a selection was made in the form of journals that discussed how to increase the production of artemisinin with metabolic engineering. The results showed that journals about gene markers, promoters, and yeast preparations for analytics in metabolic engineering were discussed and also discussed how to increase the effectiveness of artemisinin production. It can be concluded that all aspects reviewed here can be used in metabolic engineering in yeast and to increase the effectiveness of artemisinin production, a mutant DBR2-ALDH1 gene fusion protein can be made. v text
