The Government of Bogor Regency in handling it’s waste has planned the construction of TPST (Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu) in several parts of the district, one of them is in East Bogor Regency that includes 6 sub – districts which are Jonggol, Cariu, Cileungsi, Tanjungsari, Klapanunggal and Sukamakmur sub – districts. The construction of TPST in several areas aims to equalize waste handling services and also to reduce the volume of waste transported to TPA Galuga because TPA Galuga has exceeded it’s service capacity. East Bogor Regency in it’s waste management is served by Unit Pelaksana Teknis Kebersihan dan Sanitasi II Jonggol (UPT KS II Jonggol. This TPST of East Bogor Regency is designed to process both inorganic and organic waste following the hierarchy of waste management namely recycle where the output from the processing will be reused to support the needs of human life and still have economic value. The sampling process was carried out for four days at the UPT KS II Jonggol, the waste generation from the process was 1,34 liters/person/day with the composition of waste dominated by inorganic waste is 59% and organic waste is 41%. The designed TPST in east Bogor Regency is planned to operate until 2031 and serve four sub – districts with a capacity of 60 tons/day. Inorganic waste that will be processed at the TPST will be semi – mechanically sorted according to it’s type, e the recyclable waste will be continued to the recycling plant, the B3 waste will be continued to third parties while the residual waste will be transported to TPA Galuga. Organic waste that enters the TPST will be processed in he organic waste processing section using the Aerated Static Pile (ASP) method and then the compost will be sold back to the community. The existence of this TPSR is expected to be able to reduce the amount of waste generated at the TPA Galuga by 30% of the total waste generation and can also serve 70% of its service area. text
