Description
Summary:Bunaken Island is one of the islands in Bunaken National Park and is one of the famous marine tourism destinations both in Indonesia and abroad. Along with the increasing number of visitors to Bunaken National Park, it is necessary to plan facilities that support transportation in the form of a seaplane base. In selecting the location and planning the layout of the seaplane base water facility, the design standards used are ICAO Annex 14 Aerodromes Volume 1 Aerodrome Design and Operations, and FAA Advisory Circular 150/5395-1B. The selection of the location of the seaplane base is carried out based on criteria such as water conditions including waves and currents, geographical conditions including topographic data and zoning maps, as well as operational requirements for seaplanes including the number of operating seaplanes and waterlane orientation. Water facility layout planning considers seaplane operations such as seaplane movement and waterlane orientation, water current conditions, tidal conditions, and bathymetry. Wave and current modeling was carried out by using Delft3D. In this thesis, the chosen location is in the north of Bunaken island and then the water facility layout planning is carried out at that location. The need for water facilities at the seaplane base of Bunaken Island consists of offshore facilities including waterlanes, taxi channels, and turning basins, as well as shoreline facilities including floating docks, ramps, gangways. The dimensions of the water facilities have been calculated in this thesis.
