Several types of implants have been produced in Indonesia. However, complex implants still rely on imported products. These implants have different anthropology from Asian anthropology, especially Indonesia, which require some adjustment during the implantation procedures. Bone replacements and implants can be made just in time, fully customisable, and low cost by 3D printing techniques.. This final project reports a feasibility study to choose the most suitable 3D printing technique for bone replacements and implants in Indonesia. The feasibility study analysed the external environment using Porter's five forces framework and political, economic, social, technology (PEST) analysis with a specific scope for Indonesia. It's continued with a literature study about 3D printing technology and materials for bone replacements and implants. A weighted decision matrix with direct weighting was used for the selection method. Based on the feasibility study, the use of 3D printing techniques for manufacturing bone replacements and implants is feasible to be applied in Indonesia. The Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printer was chosen because of its low investment costs, tolerable printing results, and wide choice of materials. The PLA/30% HA composite material was chosen because it has good bioactivity and degradation behaviour, is easy to find in Indonesia at an affordable price and has mechanical properties that can still be tolerated for non-load-bearing bone replacement.
