Summary: | Indonesia is the country with the second biodiversity worldwide, with a diversity of flora and fauna
making Indonesia able to become one of the largest natural ingredient drug producing countries in
the world. Bengkuang, petai, and Jengkol are plants belonging to the Fabaceae tribe that are known
to be used as medicinal plants, in this study will be explained about Botany, Traditional Use, and Pre
Klink Test Results that are searched using electronic databases such as Google scholar, Pubmed, and
Science direct that have been filtered using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Bengkuang, petai and
Jengkol are traditionally used for high blood pressure, diabetes, mold, and others. All three plants
have several secondary metabolite compounds responsible for biological activity. Extracts of the
three plants are reported to have activities as anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, antidiabetic,
antihypertensive, anthoxidant, and antimicrobial. The information collected is expected to be able to
be used as a reference for further research.
