Construction of drainage facilities in the form of ditches, sumps, and pumping systems will facilitate water removal from the pits. The installation of settling ponds is also required as one of the conditions that must be met by mining companies to maintain the water quality standards. This research starts with the analysis of rain data from Rain Measurement Station 2 for the data period 2013-2021 using the Pearson III Log distribution, the rainfall was 118.66 mm with the rainfall intensity in the 10-year return period was 25.91 mm/hour. From the topographic data and the mine plan scheduling data, catchment areas are made. In PT XYZ's Semeru Wastedump, the total catchment area of 3.3 km² is divided into 54 sub-catchments with varying values. The open channel is divided into 4 (four) categories which are divided into 3 (three) categories for the main channel with dimensions of width x height of 2.77 x 1.2 m; 4 x 1m; 5 x 1.5 and 1 (one) category for the channel on the bench (ditch) with dimensions of width x height of 2.77 x 1.2 m. Drop structures are made for steep pit slopes of 3 (three) for the period 2020-2021, 2 (two) for the period 2022-2023, and 3 (three) for the period 2024-2026. Mine sump dewatering (in the period 2020- 2021) will be pumped using Multiflo 290 of 1 (one) unit with the option of the sump being dried after 4 (four) days. Installation of 4 (four) retention ponds and 6 (six) settling ponds for the period 2020-2023 and 4 (four) retention ponds and 5 (five) settling ponds for the period 2023-2030 with varying retention pond dimensions and same dimensions for all of the settling ponds. text
