INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/61980 PT XYZ is a coal mining company using the open-pit mining method, located in South Kalimantan Province. Water, one of the most influential factors in production activities in open-pit mines. The southern part of the mine has reached the end of its IUP area so that water management is carried out outside the IUP area. Therefore, it is necessary to design a drainage facility to handle water so that it does not enter the mining area and an alternative is needed so that the discharge flowing to the south can be reduced. The analysis begins with determining the distribution of rain data from station 2. Using the Log Pearson III distribution and a return period of 10 years, the daily rainfall is 118.66 mm. By using the rain time for two hours, the rainfall intensity is 25.91 mm/hour. Several drainage facilities were made to handle water with an area of influence of 752 ha. The open channel is made in the form of a trapezoid with four categories with the top width, bottom width, and channel height, respectively, namely 3x1x1 m, 5x3x1 m, 6x3x1.5 m, and 9x6x1.5 m. Culvert with a diameter of 1.2 m and a length of 20 m. Four retention ponds with varying sizes. There are four sediment ponds, namely Meranti, Cambodia, Kasturi, and Cengkeh with dimensions of surface length, surface width, and total depth of 106x41x4.5 m. The water discharge that leads to the south can be reduced by creating a new channel but will change the morphology. Morphological changes will be carried out using the cut and fill method with a total of 2238 m3 of soil removed. text
