This study discusses Flood Risk Management (FRM) and its relationship to green space provision planning in supporting flood resilience in Jakarta. This study consists of 3 stages of analysis. The first stage is to identify how FRM strategy is organized by comparatively analyzing governance documents of Jakarta using an integrated Socio-Ecological-Technology System (SETS) framework. The result shows that FRM in the governance documents of Jakarta not only prioritizes the construction of hard infrastructure such as embankments and canals to reduce flood risk, but also proposes socio-ecological elements in SETS, including public participation and collaboration, floodplain conservation, as a response to make the city more resilient or transformative to anticipate future flooding. The second stage is to identify the integration of green space provision planning in supporting flood resilience based on previous SETS FRM analysis. This finding acknowledges the integration between green space planning and FRM in Jakarta governance documents, which is indicated by 41% of FRM strategies including green space provision actions. The green space planning is included in socioecological strategy, and even technology with a level of function to support flood resilience in Jakarta. The third stage is to evaluate green space for flood resilience implementation based on an average review of 13 Jakarta stakeholder perceptions on green space ecosystem services and governance aspects. Some challenges identified are related to a lack of technical regulation, and transparency. The study concludes with recommendations to enhancing the role of green infrastructure as an alternative to improve urban flood resistance. text
