Summary: | Along with the rapid development of information technology in the context of government, encouraging
the Government of Indonesia to change its development strategy, namely with a policy direction to build
from the periphery by strengthening villages. To overcome the technological development gap between
urban and rural areas, an idea is needed that is able to integrate rural areas with information technology
systems, which in this case is called Smart Village development. But on the other hand, the characteristics
of remote villages are a problem for Smart Villages to be able to overcome the obstacles they face
because they cannot be solved alone in isolated conditions. Therefore, an important component in social
capital is needed, namely trust as the basis for involvement in the community. The purpose of this study is
to identify the role of the element of trust in the development of the Smart Village program in Hanura
Village. In this study, we will look at the process of developing the element of trust and also the factors
that influence its development. The analysis used is qualitative analysis to explore and understand the
meaning of the phenomena that occur. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the process
of developing the element of trust was initially still in the form of belief until it later increased because
there were familial relationships that had been rooted in the community so that it became a decision to
support and be involved in program development. Meanwhile, trust with new forms of action appears
when there are tangible results from the development of the Smart Village program. During the
development of the Smart Village program, there were factors of transparency, accountability and
leadership which also influenced the development of the element of trust. |
