Various activities can be done to reduce it, including exercising and doing recreation. Developing cities such as Karawang are trying to develop programs to reduce the stress conditions of their residents through the Healthy Community Movement (GERMAS). The provision of recreational sports facilities is an integral part of efforts to reduce stress. In contrast to sports that are competitive and educational in nature, recreational sports are types of sports that can provide joy by nourishing the body physically and emotionally, and can be done in spare time. Recreational sports facilities become areas for stress therapy by developing a multi-sensory experience for their users. The human senses are stimulated by the elements and landscape materials found in the sports area. With the "Therapeutic Design" approach expected to have a healthier lifestyle. Considering that the design location is in the center of Karawang city, this design area functions as a sports and recreation facility with a variety of sports rooms that can be selected according to the needs and desires of users later. The design area is 141,130 m², excluding the existing buildings, namely Gor Panatayudha and the Mosque. The current condition of the Panatayudha Sports Complex is mostly a pavement area, based on KDH regulations of Karawang Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2015 it should have a green area of 6,171 m². The design criteria used are generated from theory and analysis of recreational sports and community desires. The design criteria include therapeutic elements in the design which are divided into safety and comfort which are defined as universal accessibility and circulation, space programs are defined as a diversity of facilities, sustainability is defined as the use of easy-to-maintain and durable materials and vegetation. The selection of vegetation for the design area uses vegetation that can stimulate the five senses and reduce air and water pollution for the design area and the surrounding environment. The easiest therapeutic element to feel the benefits directly is vegetation. The therapeutic relationship between vegetation and recreational sports is that it can help improve psychological health before and after exercise through the senses by using a variety of plants, including the selection of colors, types, aromas, and heights of the plants. The use of vegetation can also serve as a barrier between facilities. Based on the program, the green area is increased to 60% and has the potential to be used as an area for harvesting rainwater runoff. The planned space program is a desire related to facilities that are distributed in the form of a questionnaire to visitors. Such as the main facilities obtained in the form of a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, rock climbing area, skateboard area ,jogging track, fitness area, gardening area, yoga area, gymnastics, and e-sports. The supporting facilities obtained are in the form of a playground and picnic area, while for complementary facilities such as shelters, water plaza, vending machines, and motorized vehicle parking areas. The total area for the facility is 6,549.7 m². The design of recreational sports facilities at the Panatayudha Sports Complex is expected to be a place for physical activity, and a place to relieve stress for various age groups to increase surrounding activities and promote healthy lifestyles in the community. text
