Description
Summary:Supply chain management is not an easy task, due to its complexity of its network which involve numbers of entities and its dynamicity and variety system toward the period of time. Many approaches in solving the supply chain policy problems used partial approach or integrated approach. The lack of partial approach is that each actors try to maximize their own profit, while the lack of integrated approach is that it needs a complete information sharing, which is hard to be applied due to the company’s internal secrecy. The development trend in computer technology nowadays creates Multi-Agent System (MAS) which is otonomic in character. MAS in supply chain has a character to be integrated-partial, due to its behavior in maximizing its own profit while also integrating the other entities in the supply chain by sharing some information. The behavior in maximizing own profit creates a conflict of interest, hence the problem in the supply chain is to find the balance between each actors using negotiation. The process of negotiation has several basic component, i.e. negotiation protocol, utility function, and negotiation strategy. Researches on negotiation have been done, yet the lack of recent negotiation model is that the process of negotiation still sequential that negotiation only consider the decision from the facing parties. In other side, there are a decision interdependent relationship among every entities in supply chain, which require a forward and backward linkage negotiation system where decision are made by taking into account other parties’ decision in the supply chain. This research develops a negotiation mechanism which consider the forward and backward linkage factors by searching the balance of profit satisfaction level using the limited information exchange. The otomation of negotiation will be simulated using the Multi-Agent System approach where agents act as their objective design.
