Summary:An approach to sports science increasingly being applied in coaching youth soccer players. A variety of research methods used to determine the factors that can affect the performance of athletes in the field. One of the factors is physiological characteristics. Various parameters that used in determining the physiological characteristics of the athletes are the anthropometric characteristics, physical strength, aerobic and anaerobic capacity, muscle characteristics, levels of lactate in the blood, etc. The physiological parameters that used in this study were hemoglobin (Hb) levels, anthropometric characteristics, anaerobic performance, and aerobic performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the physiological characteristics of 13 or fewer years old soccer players and to find out the relationship between their physiological characteristics and their performance on the field. The numbers of research subjects were 252 people. A hemoglobin level was determined by blood sampling. Based on the result, all athletes had a normal hemoglobin level with 165 athletes (65%) have a thin body, an average of vertical jump was 47.98 +5.60 cm, the average time of sprint test 15 and 40 meters were 3.00 +0.23 and 6.63 +0.48 seconds, and the average time of one-mile run test was 8:15 + 1:11 minutes: seconds. All of test parameters affect performance unless the hemoglobin level.
