Description
Summary:PT. X is a subsidiary of Pertamina under the coordinator of Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) as the Upstream Sub Holding as well as a Cooperation Contract Contractor under the supervision of SKK Migas, carrying out exploration, exploitation, and monetization of oil and gas activities. Operates domestic oil and gas fields spread throughout Indonesia, one of which is PT. X - Delta Area. Natural gas is a vital component of the world's energy supply. But unlike other fossil fuels, natural gas is one of the cleanest (low carbon intensity), safest and most useful of all energy sources. In the last five years, PT. X - Delta Area has not been able to achieve its annual gas production target. This condition makes the company lose the opportunity to get better revenue and profit. Based on this condition, the purpose of this research is to find out in detail the dominant causes of not achieving the set production targets. This study will use several types of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques and methods, namely “5 Whys”, Brainstorming, and Cause and Effect Diagrams (fishbone). Based on the results of the analysis, several main reasons for this condition are caused by the high decline in production from gas wells, the readiness and reliability of production facilities, and the lack of work programs for gas wells. These causes are evaluated and used as information material to improve and develop company initiatives to achieve the next gas production target
