At this stage, an individual is faced with many new choices and responsibilities. If this period cannot be passed properly, it can result in the mental health condition of the individual who becomes prone to stress and experiences anxiety. A positive psychological approach, in this case psychological well-being, can be one of the keys to reducing the risk of mental health disorders. A media is needed to educate early adults about psychological well-being, especially self-acceptance, which can help them to cope with daily stresses. The media used is an illustrated book. Visual illustration can also be applied in the form of a book which is commonly known as an illustrated book. In the illustrated book, it contains illustrations on each sheet accompanied by text that tells the same thing as the information told. The purpose of this design is to identify early adult knowledge related to psychological well-being, especially in self-acceptance, and also to design an illustrated book as an educational medium for early adulthood. The design process used is the Pahl - Beitz method. The data collection related to visual rhetoric was carried out by means of a literature study, while information related to the content of psychological well-being was carried out by means of interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis was done descriptively. Based on data analysis, the most psychological well-being problems in early adulthood are in the selfacceptance dimension, and visual rhetoric that is easier to catch by early adults is metaphorical, metonymy, and allegory with a surreal illustration style. text
