One of reclamation programs which has been done is Argowijil Ecological Market (Pasar Ekologis Argowijil, hereafter PEA) establishment on a post-mining karst area in Gari Village, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Province. Currently, the assessment of the reclamation impact is only discovered about the progress of the environment. There is no analysis yet of the impact on socio-economic aspects after restoration. The objectives of this study are (1) to evaluate the outcome of a successful reclamation of post-karst mining in Gari Village, (2) to analyze the sustainability of PEA as a post-mining land reclamation area in Gari Village in terms of environmental progress, economic improvement, and social aspects communities involved in PEA, and (3) to develop a PEA sustainability strategy through a SWOT analysis. The data collection methods used include observation, questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that the soil conditions in PEA comprises a loam and sandy loam texture, the bulk density values vary from 1.26-1.49 grams/cm 3 which are good for plantation and agriculture. The sustainability status of PEA's reclamation efforts is 'Sustainable' with a score of 88.96%. The suggested strategy in improving environmental and socio-economic quality in PEA is to empower local communities and migrants to participate in PEA activities such as using non-plastic shopping bags practice, entrepreneurship trainings that produce Argowijil products, a Waste Bank construction, building supporting public facilities in PEA, and involvement of the government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta for the management of PEA. text
