This study covers a regional-scale of probabilistic tsunami hazard potential analysis (PTHA) for Java Megathrust in Pangandaran District, West Java, Indonesia. The study was conducted using a logic-tree event approach. The tsunami numerical simulation was carried out using Delft3D and DelftDashboard. These programs are capable to generate, propagate, and inundate tsunami waves. The model was simulated with five grids which is connected by a process called Nesting. This study produces tsunami hazard curves at 22 coastal points representing 19 affected sub-districts along the coast of Pangandaran District. In addition, tsunami probability hazard maps and tsunami wave height maps based on certain return periods are produced. The regional-scale of PTHA in Pangandaran District is expected to be able to help the stakeholders to devise future-tsunami disaster mitigation plan. text |
