Waste management which is community-based needs to be implemented comprehensively to minimize the amount of waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the willingness of the people of Takengon City to carry out household waste management. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to the public using the cluster random sampling method. The collected data will be analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS3 software, cluster analysis, and discriminant analysis. The results showed that the level of community environmental knowledge was "very good" and 85.46% of respondents were willing to carry out household-scale waste management. The willingness of the Takengon community to carry out waste management is directly influenced by perceived behavioral control (PBC) by 43.2% and attitudes by 45.7%. Respondents were grouped into 2 clusters, Respondents were grouped into 2 clusters, the first group consisted of 18% respondents and the second group consisted of 82% respondents. The most dominant factor influencing people's willingness is the perception that recycling is easy to do, having a lot of time to manage waste, and the attitude of managing waste to protect the environment. text |
