The profit by using porous asphalt is as being effective in enhancing traffic salty in rainy weather, reducing hydroplaning tendencies and having good skid resistance properties at higher speeds. The use of porous asphalt also to reduces noise and glare at night. <br /> <br /> In this research, the use of Tafpack-Super produce by Taiyu Kensetsu Co., Ltd as an additive in bituminous material is espected to change the physical properties of bitumen and improve mix stability and also improve drainage properties for porous asphalt pavement. The results show that the addition of 0% to 20% of Tafpack-Super into the bitumen lead to a reduction in penetration value from 77,1 to 49,2. <br /> <br /> The result of void content test by using Marshall standard tes= toward bitumen nix content with Tafpack-Super shown that the addition of Tafpack-Super content improve mix stability from 38kg become 432kg and 460kg. The Cantabro Loss value decrease from 20,64%, 13,43% and 12,28% by adding Tafpack-Super. This is also happen to asphalt flow down value that its decrease from 0,32%, become 0,159% and 0,125%. Beside that the addition of Tafpack-Super content increase coefficient of permeability value for asphalt - Tafpack-Super mix. In general, the results of this research shown that the addition of 10% Tafpack-Super to bitumen gives a better influence than 20% of Tafpack-Super to asphalt mix characterstic and permeability of porous asphalt pavement. text
