THE USE OF CAUCHY WAVELET TO DETERMINE THE DEPTH OF FOOTING SUBSURFACE IN BNI KOTA TUA JAKARTA USING GROUND PENETRATING RADAR (GPR).
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is one of geophysical methods which uses the electromagnetic waves for imaging the subsurface and can use to predict the position of underground anomaly. GPR utilize the electromagnetic waves that transmitted by the transmitter which will detect relative permittivity c...

GPR utilize the electromagnetic waves that transmitted by the transmitter which will detect relative permittivity condition beneath the subsurface and receive by the receiver. GPR method can be used for locating foundation under the soil on the construction. BNI Lada Kota is currently working on leveling up their building and they need to know the location of their foundation to continue their construction. This GPR method is needed to determine the location of the foundation to avoid loss by the time the foundation constriction. This study uses GPR with shielded antenna because of the potential source of noise on the construction location. The 100 MHz antenna is used for the measurement. Data acquisition is processed by software MatGPR with several step to complete, such as Dewow Filter, Removal Global Background to 1-D Time to Depth Conversion. After the data is processed using MatGPR software, the data will be further processed using cauchy wavelets which provide unique results and make data interpretation easier. The interpretation results show that there are 2 piles on each measurement path with a depth of about 9 meters each. text |
