Description
Summary:Soekarno-Hatta Airport is the busiest airport in Indonesia to accommodate 381,649 aircraft movement in 2015 which amounted to 23% off all aircraft movement in Indonesia. Based on data from AirNav, on 2016 there are at least 1,200 aircraft movements at Soekarno-Hatta Airport per day. With the continuous growth of aircraft movement production, it is necessary to increase Soekarno-Hatta Airport capacity especially at apron. Apron traffic become important because it can affect time accuracy in the flight schedule. Therefore, it is necessary to simulate the movement of aircraft at apron of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to know the traffic condition. This research is expected to provide a proposed system to optimize the traffic at apron of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. In this study, MatLab SimEvents software is used to create a simulation model. The simulation model created is the aircraft movement in apron . The simulation model used data such as the arrival time of aircraft, the number of apron and apron capacity as an input to the simulation. The output of the simulation being observed is the amount of aircraft movement and the average ground time. By looking at the performance of the existing systems, the factors that cause queue in the apron are being evaluated. The result of this study is expected to be used by airport authorities as reference in the scheduling of departure and arrival of the aircraft and addition of airport facilities.
