Grey water

makes significant effect in water and soil contamination because the detergents still contain phosphate compound which is the limiting factor of eutrophication. In

this experiment, the absorbent medium is used to remove the phosphate compound. The medium includes three components, which are : clay, CaCO3, and sawdust. All the three components are mixed with different composition of the component weight as much as 21 varieties. After that, the components will be burned in 6000C. Kalium Biphosphate 20 mg/L is mixed with that medium and

measured the remain concentration of phosphate every varieties in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 24th, and 48th hours. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) evaluate the varieties that

have efficiency rate more than 90%, have not significantly different in removing phosphate compound. Beside that, the component influence most among three

components in removing phosphate compound is clay. Then, the adsorbent media is compared with the original soil (Dago Atas soil) without modification (mixing and heating), and the result is (both of them) not significantly different in removing phosphate compound. text
