Description
Summary:AlSi10Mg is a type of 6XXX aluminium series with silicon (Si) and magnesium (Mg) alloying elements. This alloy is widely applied to components that require a combination of good thermal properties and relatively light mass, for example in aircraft and automotive components with relatively complex shapes. To make components with complex shapes, Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology can be used with the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) method. In this study, data was collected from literature and were optimized using Taguchi and ANOVA methods. Taguchi method is a method to improve the quality of products and processes at the same time to reduce cost by reducing the number of experiments to obtain optimum conditions. The selected process parameters have a significant influence on the responses based on the literature. Furthermore, Orthogonal Arrays were used to reduce the number of experiment and optimization was carried out using ANOVA in Microsoft Excel. Based on the results, the highest contribution to UTS and density is hatch Spacing with 35,70% and 93,77%.
