All companies have a lot of projects and every project requires project goods, either the strategic or nonstrategic item. These goods require logistics process from supplier to project site. With the large amount of logistics transportation needed for all projects, planning is needed so that all processes can run properly and correctly. Currently, the logistics planning is running manually and oftentimes the project PIC (person-in-charge) as buyer request the logistics impromptu. With limited resources in DSCM (Supply Chain Management Division) that manage the logistics process, sometimes the impromptu requests have overwhelmed them because there is no logistics process standardization. There is also lacking on controlling the logistics status, such as real-time position of the cargo. No one can track the status directly, except the logistics PIC that they must call the truck driver or 3PL (third-party logistics) PIC to get information on status. Moreover, as additional problem, the implementation of HSE (health, safety, and environment) system is not maximized because there is no one controlling the HSE implementation. Last, the document reporting system has been doing in manual work. Every resource should generate the paperwork that take minimum two weeks after the cargo is received and if there is no accident happen along the delivery. With these problems, WIKA’s logistics performance would be affected. The first performance is lead time that if the lead time of each process is reduced, the logistics process time will be more efficient. Second, the logistics cost around ten to fifteen percent of goods value. Meanwhile, if the logistics cost can be reduced, the total cost will be reduced also. When the total cost is reduced, the profit that would be generated is increased. Therefore, it is very important for company to reduce the total cost to increase company’s profit. The solution of the problems is developing a cloud-base system that integrated with internal and external system, called integrated logistics information system. This system can provide standardized logistics business process to facilitate the planning and request order from project to DSCM. The 3PL is also included in this system that can provide real-time tracking on the cargo that they delivered. Due to its cloud-base system, it provides easier access that accessible everywhere anytime. Currently, the system is designed in flowcharts form and developed the prototype in Microsoft Excel, but for future implementation plan, it will take around thirteen months to develop from finding the prospective developer company, tendering process, developing process, until it is implemented as pilot project.
