Summary:This research aims to find the right solution to the problem of trending overdbudget at PT Kaltim Prima Coal in tire maintenance. PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) is a company engaged in the mining industry by utilizing natural resource exploration by using heavy equipment as a support for mining activities, ranging from coal transport trucks, Overburden and other support units. Of course, by using heavy equipment so that the need for costs as maintenance units as a support for mining activities that will later produce production output. Spare parts, Major Component and Tire Maintenance, therefore this time I as an Engineer in the Tyre Maintenance section are responsible for the maintenance and optimization of the use of tire budgets that have been given and targeted. In its utilization, of course, it often faces several problems and obstacles in doing maintenance, especially in overbudget that often occurs at the end of the period, this becomes a serious problem because it cannot be overcome optimally, therefore it is necessary to do analysis in order to get the right action plan in solving the problem. This time I did some theories in outlining the problem by way of the Root Cause Analysis method in sorting and outlining the causes that could affect the decline in performance integrated with the damage event that occurred, field conditions, and the operators involved. Then from the data is separated into several causes by using fishbone analysis, then from the root cause is synchronized with the existing action and has been running by doing PDCA analysis to see that the results of the evaluation that has been done until the final stage of the PDCA method. After getting an evaluation, prioritized by using the AHP method of action results to determine the right action in the future from input of criteria data obtained from the results of root cause analysis. The results of the AHP analysis will determine the action and steps that will be taken in the future towards the focus of solving problems in KPC, especially in tire maintenance that is expected to reduce and change the current manintenance model to proactive maintenance.
