Summary: | One of the severe health problems that the world focuses on is Hepatitis B. Indonesia is the
second highest prevalence after Myanmar in Southeast Asia. The highest prevalence of
Hepatitis B is in Eastern Indonesia, while the densest cases is found in Java and Sulawesi.
Handling of hepatitis B virus cases in developing countries is not followed by easiness access
of Hepatitis B Early Detection. This study aims to determine demographic characteristics, level
of knowledge, level of attitude and level of behavior as well as their relationship to the intention
to carry out diagnostic screening for Hepatitis B, so that strategies for suppressing the spread
of Hepatitis B can be determined. The method used in this study is a survey using the variables
of characteristics, knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and intentions of diagnostic screening in
representatives of the four affected areas namely Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta and Makassar
(n=400). The results of the questionnaire were then processed using PLS-SEM (Partial Least
Square-Structural Equation Modeling) analysis through the use of SmartPLS 3.3.3 and
strategy analysis through SWOT. The results of the majority of respondents have sex
characteristics of 59.00% female; age 25 – 34 years 44.75%; last education Bachelor Degree
51.75%; working as an agency employee 44,00%; income range < Rp. 1,800,000 by 33.25%;
married status 57.25%; very high level of knowledge; high level of attitude; behavior level is
very high. There is a significant positive effect on the character path to knowledge; knowledge
toward screening intention; attitude towards behavior; and attitudes toward screening
desirability. Significant negative relationship was shown in the path of knowledge to behavior
and behavior to the screening desire. The strategy result from SWOT-QSPM is through poster
advertisements to boost screening intention of society. Poster will be distributed in hospitals,
midwives, The Indonesian Red Cross, and other health services in Indonesia with information
content of Hepatitis B insights and how to prevent it. The strategy is strengthened by other
strategies under the Government action through collaboration with stakeholders providing
Hepatitis B diagnostic kits. Through the proposed solution, it is hoped that the spread of
Hepatitis B in Indonesia may be optimally suppressed, followed by strengthening the level of
knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the community. |
