Summary:Logistics has an important role in economic growth in every sector. The easier the logistics process will have an impact on time, quality, and competitive prices of delivery. Having an efficient supply chain may save a business cost. One of the important roles of logistics is in coal mining which has to transport coal products from the pit to the end customer. The coal transportation process consists of various modes and company vendors. One mode of coal transportation process is coal barging. Research methodology starts from the identification of problems regarding monitoring barging operational performance. The research questions are cycle time monitoring and impact in barge operation. This research creates benchmarks to other mining companies such as mapping companies in the coal mining industry in Indonesia, internal and external analysis on some coal barging companies. After that this research creates an analysis of barge performance operations in swimlane analysis, 8 waste analysis, cycle time operation, and fuel ratio based on production at coal mining case in Aceh. The final result of the research is an improvement of operational performance in barging cycle time with a digital approach. This improvement will make barging monitoring performance are quick and right target. This improvement may give valuable insight about forecasting how many the fleet needed correlation with total production. So, the company can run sustainably in the long term of coal industry cycle. The value of the average barging cycle time in Aceh coal mining site is 55.15 hours which consists of the duration of the barging process from jetty to jetty which is very influential in performance management. There are several suggestions for barging operations to reduce and eliminate waste to reduce cycle time. Coal mining logistics will continue to provide stable and consistent returns amidst the uncertainty of the coal market. The coal logistics business as a subsidiary of this integrated coal company may protect the company's performance and become an important contributor to sustainable mining as value creation.
