EAGLE LNG has been designated as one of the industry's centers of
excellence as a result of this honor. In recent years, EAGLE LNG has had to deal
with a difficult position in terms of plant performance due to diminishing feed gas
from upstream.
Not only for the LNG business but the world market as a whole, 2020 was a
tumultuous year. With the present energy scenario, major gas producers are delaying
final investment decisions (FID) in completing some gas wells, raising concerns
about LNG oversupply. The pandemic impacted a long-standing issue in the
worldwide LNG market. To address this predicament, EAGLE LNG must cut
operational expenses, particularly maintenance, which is one of the most important
indicators of LNG plant operations.
Reflecting on the situation, the maintenance strategy improvement will be the key
solution to the problem. WCM, or World Class Maintenance, is a maintenance
approach that combines RCM with historical records, company experiences, and
"special" ingredients. This maintenance strategy was created to address the issue and
provide solutions to the current EAGLE LNG issue.
Solutions are detailed to address the problem by root cause analysis and
implementing the WCM. discussed with the SMEs, compared to market leaders
(other LNG companies in Indonesia) are the approach to find solutions. Before the
implementations, the solutions as alternatives are prepared through the decisionmaking
process
(AHP) by comparing the important criterion. Finally, top priority
solutions will be implemented shortly and are expected to have a good impact on
EAGLE LNG.
