Summary:Abstract: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At the first stage of offshore oil exploration programs, the drilling platform should be placed on proposed target and safety area. To ensure that, the drilling platform set on the proposed target, it should has the adequate prospect to the successfull drilling. For setting drilling platform, some basic data are required, include position (latitude, longitude, and water depth), geological or sea floor condition. These informations are carried out by site surveys, include of met-ocean desktop study to observe climate, winds, waves, tides, current, and the other probabilities that would have on the platform installation design. On this script, the steps of site surveys has been studied include of any factors that can be influence to successfully of site surveys for offshore oil exploration.
