Various engineering has been carried out to increase the capacity of a spillway. The parameter that most influences the capacity of a spillway is the crest length of the spillway. Numerical simulation is an alternative that gives good results in engineering to perform a flow behavior analysis. The u-type spillway is an engineered form of a spillway. The analysis was carried out using a numerical simulation model. The u-type spillway provides a significant increase in spillover capacity compared to ordinary thresholds. Modification of the discharge equation that passes through the spillway needs to be done to provide good performance against the geometric changes that occur. The changes made to the equation of the discharge passing through the spillway are ????=????.????????????(????????????+????????????)?????????????????.?????????????????????.???????????? with a coefficient of conformity (????????) = 0.98.
