Description
Summary:The Bandung-Soreang Groundwater basin is one of the basin which has many drilled wells on it. This condition will affect to quantity and quality of confined groundwater. In addition, inter-aquifer flow has the potential to occur in the Bandung-Soreang Groundwater basin. This research applied analysis of hydrogeochemistry dan stable isotopes to determine the quality and origin of the water on confined groundwater and confirm the occurrence of inter-aquifer flow. In conducting the analysis, the results of the hydrogeochemical and isotope test are integrated with the groundwater conservation zone and geological condition. The results show that the confined groundwater sample in its formation process is influenced by the ion change process and the interaction with unconfined groundwater / meteoric water. The area that expriences the largest inter-aquifer flow through the phenomenon of aquifer leakage is the critical zone in the Bandung-Soreang Groundwater basin. This is indicated by the results of heavier stable isotope values and the influence of unconfined groundwater system on water formation process.
