prevention by vector is needed such as repellent. Based on research that has been
done before, Lantana camara has reducing effect on landing frequency on human
skin. The goal of this research is to determine Effective Dose (ED99) of Lantana
camara crude extract, mean Complete Protection Time (CPT), and indentify
content of secondary metabolites of crude Lantana camara extract by GC-MS.
Lantana camara leaves are extracted with maceration method by methanol 80% for
3 days. The crude extract is divided into 5 different concentrations, 0.06mg/cm2,
0.18mg/cm2, 0.3mg/cm2, 0.42mg/cm2, and 0.54mg/cm2. All statistic calculations
are calculated using IBM SPSS 25 with 95% confidence. The results showed that
crude Lantana camara extract has a percentage of protection from the maximum to
the largest sequential dose is 74.2 ± 0.04%, 88.8 ± 0.02%, 90.5 ± 0.05%, and 100%
for the rest two concentrations. Lantana camara extract has ED99 of 0.3mg/cm2 as
repellent againts Aedes aegypti. The mean Complete Protection Time of Lantana
camara extract is 2.5 hours (150 minutes) on ED99. GC-MS analysis results shows
alkaloid, terpen, phenol, and indole. Lantana camara has the potential as repellent
