Since it was announced as a pandemic by WHO on March 9, 2020, technical instructions for the prevention and control of Covid-19 in schools have also been issued. The Indonesian government also issued a Surat Keputusan Bersama 4 Menteri regarding Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning for the 2020/2021 academic year during the Covid-19 pandemic. The letter states that educational units located in the yellow, orange, and red zones are prohibited from conducting face-to-face learning processes and continuing to study from home to minimize the potential for the spread of Covid-19. Learning from home (BDR) is also implemented in Benteng District, Selayar Islands Regency. The application of learning from home is presented with a number of obstacles, both from the students, teachers, and parents. In addition, there is a habit of the community to visit each other's family and neighbors and help each other. This habit is a challenge during the pandemic because visiting each other will expand the potential for the spread of Covid-19. This research uses qualitative research methods, with a case study approach. A case study was conducted to analyze the phenomenon of BDR, especially in families who have elementary school age in Benteng District. The subjects of this study were 6 parents from 4 different families. The results of the study indicate that there is a pattern of neighborly life in Benteng District, namely resources sharing as an effort to overcome resource shortages and exploring outside the house which is considered as shared spaces. This pattern of neighborly life is dangerous in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic because it can expand the spread of Covid-19. Then, based on the application and how to adapt to the challenges of BDR, BDR includes various efforts that involve human and non-human actors so that children have smartphones and are connected to the internet network. These actors can both help and hinder learning. Relatively flexible arrangements and less stringent inter-room and inter-home relationships make it difficult to isolate children to focus on learning from home. text
