However, the unsustainable development of the site causes Muara Angke to appear 'left behind' and slums with many environmental, social, and economic problems. One of the government's steps to overcome financial issues in Muara Angke is to designate this area to be developed as a coastal tourism destination. It serves as a fishery center to access sea transportation to the Thousand Islands National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) through Kali Adem Port, as stated in the DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation No. 1, Year 2012. This project encourages a participatory and sustainable community economy in Muara Angke by designing rest area facilities to support transit. In addition, this project also aims to respond to other problems that occur in Muara Angke, such as environmental problems and social problems. The subsidence of the land in Muara Angke, the lack of public education, and the unavailability of green space make connectivity, community empowerment, and the sustainability of water resources essential to note. The facilities designed can then improve the image of the area while maintaining the social and cultural aspects of the local community. The basis for the project design uses a community economic corridor approach. This approach is adapted from economic and community corridors. An economic corridor is an integrated infrastructure network in a geographic area designed to stimulate economic development. This approach is seen on a more micro-scale within the project's scope. Meanwhile, the community in the context of Muara Angke is a community that has the same goals, needs, jobs, and dependence on coastal resources. The design foundation is then derived based on existing theories into permeability, water-sensitive design, and community-based tourism. Based on the design basis and the current problems, the objectives, criteria, and design concepts are formulated. The facility space program is then developed based on design standards and criteria. With the design of a transit support rest area facility, it is hoped that the economy of the coastal community of Muara Angke can improve. text
