Description
Summary:In 2019, the Bandung City Tourism and Culture Office compiled a BTFC program that aims to provide child-friendly tourism destinations. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the willingness of one of the components of tourism destinations, namely child-friendly tourist attractions to support the implementation of this program. As a sample, one of the existing leading tourist attractions, Ade Irma Suryani Nasution Traffic Park, was chosen as a case study for assessing the application of child-friendly concepts in tourism destinations in Bandung. Before conducting an assessment at the location of the case study, it is necessary to define Child-Friendly Tourism Destinations for this research which is sourced from various literature studies. This definition serves as a reference for conducting research and compiling the Set of Criteria and Indicators for Child-Friendly Tourist Attraction as an instrument for assessing Ade Irma Suryani Nasution Traffic Parks. The formation of the instrument was sourced from further literature studies and input from experts. Thus, a Set of Criteria and Indicators was compiled with 3 principles, 6 criteria, 13 sub-criteria, and 70 indicators. The indicators were filled in by three data assemblies, that is field observations, manager interviews, and visitor questionnaires. Each data source is assigned a score of 1 point, so the total score for all indicators is 171 points (100%). This percentage is then juxtaposed with 4 child-friendly levels; Good, Enough, Less, and Not Good. Based on the results of the assessment, it was found that the total score of the Ade Irma Suryani Nasution Traffic Park indicator was 139 points (81%) and had a good level of child-friendly implementation. So that this tourist attraction can support the implementation of the BTFC program to provide Child-Friendly Tourism Destinations in the city of Bandung.
