Summary:Tourism industry is one of the essential sectors of Indonesia. This is because Indonesia has a various potential of natural and cultural resources that can attract people around the world to visit to this country. It was not surprising that Indonesia’s tourism became the third biggest source of income of this country after CPO and coal in 2018. There is numerous type of tourism that Indonesia offers, from natural tourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism, marine tourism, to village tourism. This village tourism has been expanding and developing rapidly in recent years. For example, Nglanggeran Tourist Village in Yogyakarta Province had been visited by 27.875 visitors in 2012 and the number has increased strikingly that in 2018 (six years later), the village could attract as many as 142.178 visitors, 5 times higher than in 2012. Unfortunately, in the early of 2020, the visits dropped as the Covid-19 pandemic hit this country. This research aims to identify the impact of this pandemic to the 5 livelihood assets; natural, human, financial, social, and physical capital; in Nglanggeran Tourist Village. The analysis is done by weighting and assessing on every indicator which resulted the impact level of the Covid-19 pandemic to this tourist village. The result shows that the natural capital gains the positive impact in the very high criteria while the human and financial capital decline in low criteria. The social and physical capital show the positive impact but not significant. Beside identifying the livelihood assets, this research also points out the strategies that have been applied in Nglaggeran Tourist Village to overcome the effect of pandemic with the intensification, extensification, diversification, and consolidation variable. It results that the response of the community and the management of the tourist village towards this pandemic effects, is very well and unknowingly, the 3 strategies have been applied but still needs improvement. This research is expected to be taken into consideration in designing policy and evaluating the livelihood strategies hence they can be sustainable
