Description
Summary:The very large increase in population has led to an increase in the need for movement. There are 80% of trips using private transportation modes, such as motorbikes, cars, and bicycles. This has an impact on increasing congestion and pollution. Jabodetabek as one of the metropolitan areas has a very high travel rate, especially for round trips (commuting). Bogor Regency is one of the regions that contributes the largest commuter trips in the Jabodetabek area. This condition has the consequence of the large number of trips that occur between Bogor Regency and the surrounding area. The government through the Jabodebek LRT development program encourages an increase in the use of public transportation for commuters. However, the public's interest in using public transportation is still low. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the Jabodebek LRT fares through the Willingness to Pay (WTP) and Ability to Pay (ATP) approaches. To support this goal, it is necessary to know the characteristics of the commuter community in Bogor Regency, identify variables that affect WTP and ATP, analyze the probability of choosing a transportation mode between LRT and private cars, and determine fares based on the WTP and ATP values. This analysis uses the crosstab method, binomial logit, and travel cost method. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the variables that affect the mode of change are the safety of public transportation, LRT fares, and the cost of preference scenarios. It is also known that there are 82.44% who want to switch to using the Jabodebek LRT from private cars. And obtained the value of the WTP tariff of Rp. 17,400.00 and the value of the ATP tariff of Rp. 21,134.65. The tariff value to be set is lower than the WTP and ATP tariff values. So that the Jabodebek LRT transportation mode is able to attract the interest of the Bogor Regency commuter community to use it
