The star with a planet around it can have a habitable zone when the planet is at the right distance from the host star. When a star evolves, the habitable zone also evolves. The evolution is influenced by several parameters, such as mass and metallicity. This study uses a very low mass (VLM) star object, namely Gliese 581 (GI 581) as a reference for examining the habitable zone of the planetary system. This object has a life span of up to 7 billion years as an M3V class star. Planetary system of GI 581 has two planets that being studied and they are in the habitable zone, namely, the planets GI 581c and GI 581d, but in this study also used planet GI 581g as the third planet being studied. When the star GI 581 evolves, the location of the habitable zone will also shift. In this Final Project, the process of evolution of VLM stars with the metallicity of Gliese 581 objects and metallic variations is carried out using the MESA star evolution program which is run through MESA WEB to obtain the data needed to determine the location of the inner and outer boundaries of the habitable zone and the effect of metallicity on the habitable zone of very low mass star (M?0,8 M?). text
