Description
Summary:The number of motorcycles in Indonesia continues to increase every year, and continues to survive as the vehicle with the largest number of vehicles compared to other types of vehicles. Almost the entire road network in the Greater Jakarta area is dominated by two-wheeled vehicles, namely motorbikes. The areas of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) are integrated areas with a total population of 31,845,551 people. The Jabodetabek area experiences a rate of increase of roads (including toll roads) of 1% per year and a rate of increase in vehicles of 11% per year. The total commuter movement in the Jabodetabek area is ± 3,190,000 people/day with the percentage of motorcycle users per day being 63.3%. This study aims to determine the travel behavior and characteristics of commuter trips that influence the variables of commuter travel factors in choosing the main mode for work activities. One of the reasons for this high number of motorbikes is the ineffective performance of feeder transportation services that support the use of KRL transportation
